Iron bulrushes - perennial, unexpected and intriguing. Add all-year-round height to your garden displays with our ‘Ironspun’ bulrushes. When your lupins and hollyhocks have died back, these bulrushes will still be there, gently swaying away in the breeze outside your kitchen window.
We harvest the bulrushes from a tiny workshop very close to our own Suffolk base. Just under two and-a-half metres tall, they’re hand-formed from steel rods; playful art created via traditional metalworking skills.
Poke them into the soil or drill a small hole in your decking; plant them in a flowerbed or use an old oak barrel. They look magical around a garden pond, also.
They work best visually in clumps – so we sell them in bunches of five.
A bewitching combination of the industrial and the organic – our ‘Ironspun’ range is for the garden lover who shuns the run-of-the-mill.
