The SandEdge story
SandEdge came into being back in 2005, making a name for itself as the place to find something slightly different for your garden and home.
It was a cottage industry for a while; nonetheless succeeding in the face of much bigger competitors due to the quality of its stock and its reputation for customer service. The website had so many loyal, repeat customers that we began to refer to them informally as ‘SandEdgers’.
In 2017, the company was bought by Andrew Staff. You’ll be hard-pressed to find somebody who knows more about garden products than Andrew - he was formerly the Finance Director then CEO at one of the UK’s biggest garden centre chains. But a typical corporate bean-counter he isn’t - Andrew’s one of life’s genuine enthusiasts, and is unquestionably driven by his passion for the beauty and quality of the items we stock.
Andrew brought the major investment that the business needed, and he put together a team of people who knew the industry back-to-front and inside-out. (That’s how we manage to find products that other people might not, and to sell them at our competitive prices).
Other than that, nobody changed the winning formula! So we’re still the place to come for the less run-of-the-mill; for that just-right item that has eluded your property for years. We’ll go all out to help should you have cause to call us; our warehouse team will dispatch your items with pride.
